Survey Workshop Schedule — Survey Design & Survey Data Analysis
We originally planned to offer a June workshop in Boston, but with the travel restrictions, etc., instead we’re going to offer this class remotely via Zoom. The class would be delivered in a series of modules over the weeks of June 15 & 23. Early registrants will help us guide how we will schedule the module deliveries.
The remote class will cover all the same content as in our live, in-person classes.
We’ll return again to the Washington DC area for a fall workshop at the Embassy Suites, 1900 Diagonal Road, Old Town Alexandria, Virginia Tel: +1 (703) 684-5900.
We love this area for our workshops because:
- It is so convenient to the Washington Metro (King Street), Amtrak (ALX), and to Reagan National Airport (DCA). The nearby picture of the Embassy Suites hotel is taken from the King Street Metro platform. Yes, it’s that close!
- The neighborhood. It’s a pleasant walk down King Street into Old Town Alexandria toward the Potomac. You’ll find an array of shops and interesting, local restaurants, many with sidewalk dining, as evening distractions after a solid day of learning — and some historical sightseeing if you can spare a day on either end of your trip
Last year our September class booked solid and we ran an additional class in November. Hopefully that will prove true in 2019!
Note that we listed “August 19” in the heading. We’ll be delivering our 1-day Questionnaire Design Workshop as part of the 930gov conference at the Washington Convention Center. (The Questionnaire Design Workshop is the first day of our 3-day Survey Workshop Series.) You can attend that day in August and then attend Days 2&3 in September in Alexandria.
Once a year — sometimes more — we travel to the Middle East to deliver our workshops in Dubai. Attendees from throughout the Middle East, Africa, and sometimes Europe make this a very interesting workshop as we see cultural influences on surveying practices. Also, it’s an opportunity to explore this modern city and its grand scale, such as the world’s tallest building or a shopping mall with an indoor ski slope. (Really) But Dubai is also an ancient city with historical venues. (The nearby photo was shot from the rooftop lounge of the Four Points hotel. The Burj Khalifa, world’s tallest building, is the spire in the background.)
Our business partners, Insights Middle East, manage these events including registration & pricing. For more information and to register for these classes, please contact Insights Middle East. We usually run the workshops in conjunction with a conference of theirs on contact (call) center management, so perhaps you’ll find broader opportunities to learn beyond improving your survey practices.
As we write this in spring 2020, obviously workshops like this are on hold until the world gets back on its axis, so to speak.
